Goat willow

Goat willow or greater sallow and other broad-leaved willows such as common sallow and and eared willow are found in open light-rich places in the forest. Goat willow can be found in somewhat drier places than common sallow, but it can also grow fairly wet. Eared willow grows in wet, nutrient-poor places.

Willows are important for a lot of species, for example bees and bumblebees because they flower early in the year and give lots of pollen.
