Marsh-marigold

The presence of marsh marigolds in a allovial forest is a good sign. It is a species that likes sufficiently wet but only moderately nutrient-rich conditions. Like many other wet forest species, marsh-marigold is also found in moist marshes and wet grasslands.

In light-rich places in a wet forest, it can be found together with species such as common marsh bedstraw, yellow iris, gypsywort, common skullcap, greater tussock-sedge and yellow loosestrife.
